Outside!

Thank the Lord it was finally warm enough to take Callie outside for a decent amount of time today! And just in time to see the forsythia in full bloom. Forsythia is my favorite spring blooming shrub and I had planned on taking Callie's picture in front of ours since we found out about her. She is very attentive outside, turning at every new sound she hears, trying to grasp individual blades of grass, and unexpectedly exploding with giggles. She loved it and I have to say it was so refreshing spending some time with her outside. We are tired of being inside all the time. The winter has felt so long and draining since I've been indoors with Callie (can't get out much with little babies when it's so cold.) But she is growing and spring is finally here. Praise God! We walked around the yard and I showed her all the plants emerging from their winter slumber (and then I sighed at all the gardening work I already have ahead of me...but it will be fine.) I'm very excited to share my garden with her. Here's my beautiful little girl.

Awww....Eli likes to be outside, too, but we've only done walks in the stroller and sitting on the deck. I'll have to do the blanket thing when it's warm again (today is a little cooler & supposed to rain :( We, too, have a lot of yard work to do and last year I helped during a day of work, but after that I was too uncomfortable to do anymore. Maybe I can do more this year!! :)

Oh, and we aren't going to Music with Mar today. Just thought we would skip a week. You didn't talk about going so I assumed you weren't either. If you did, have fun! We'll see you tomorrow!
